In the Netherlands and across the world, we face a rise in authoritarianism and fascism. As the limitations of liberal democracies to contain such tendencies become ever more apparent, the question arises: Where do we turn to? What models and practices can we learn from to resist such threats?

Join us for an educational event with Vijay Prashad, historian, journalist, and director of the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research and Chris de Ploeg, journalist, author and party leader of De Vonk.

Vijay Prashad will kick off the evening with a short lecture on National Liberation Marxism, drawing essential lessons from the Global South. Afterwards, Chris de Ploeg will lead a follow-up interview. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session with the audience.

We will tackle topics such as:
•  Fascism as a colonial boomerang, and why anti-imperialism is necessary for
the anti-fascist struggles.
•  The legacy of international solidarity in socialist movements and its relevance for new internationalisms today.
•  Why material and class analysis is crucial for effective anti-imperialist movements.
•  How we can learn from these experiences to organize within the Dutch context.

Join us for an essential discussion on Marxist and anti-colonial strategies for liberation!
